Hat Again

I'm almost through the only pictures I have of Parker in Hats. I've actually written a small book about it that will be available at the National.

Red Today

I did some mild grooming last night. Then I took pictures on the bed. Unfortunately got that rotten angle that's all nose. Here's the best of the bunch.

Tiffany

Meet Tiffany. She lives with Larry and Peggy. Red and Parker got touched up today, Red looks good and Parker looks rather strange. I did his head and neck and ran out of steam. I've got some other things I need to do tonight so I didn't get the camera out. Tiffany Likes BIG Toys.

Parker's Garbo Look

This dog is just so much fun. Here's his Garbo look. It's actually on some flyers for a groomer and is posted around town...entitled "Need a new do...?"

The Secret Cookie

Parker was positive there was a cookie back there. He actually went and squeezed between the trolley and the cupboard. No cookie but until his suspicions were aleviated, he stared into that corner.

Sunday January 25

This was suppose to be Yesterday's picture for today but I fell asleep. This is how I want all my dogs to look. I know they're happy. So Red was 11 on the 20th, and has a bad back, but occasionally, I still can take him down to the beach and make him happy. The vet says don't but with a face like this, I'll risk it.

Saturday, January 24

This is the result of the tag team game....cookies!!!
The boys definitely need to be groomed. I created a small book last night with pictures of Parker in Linda's hats and will be tweaking that into a fun book to sell at the boutique for the National. It also convinced Linda that I had time to take photos of her caps. She can sell the books and cards along with the caps at the shows we've got coming up. The beautiful weather is at an end, this morning is a beautiful misty grey and the temperature has dropped. Now we'll get the beautiful waves crashing against the sea wall and a whole new visage of the Ocean. My favorite time.

Sunny Day Again

What wonderful weather we're having. Got them out in the sun, and I know the bear's hibernating, but they weren't too sure.

Another Hat

I had errands today and it's alway iffy whether my business partner will wander in or not, so I didn't get away. But, I have a stash of pictures to share. This one did not make to card status, it was very cute but too much clean up...maybe I'll do it again.

Tag Team

When Linda and I take them on the beach, they run a tag team sort of thing trying to scam cookies out of us, whoever gives in, ends up giving both of them cookies. In the meantime, they race back and forth.

One of my Favorites

It's hard to do, but occasionally I can get my neighbor to model her caps with Parker and Red. Here's one of my all time favorites.

Tomorrow

I meant to add, and didn't, that I found a bunch of his pictures posing for my neighbor's knitted caps. I'll adjust them to get onto the blog tomorrow. I'll have to find Red's pictures too. They're hysterical.

Me thinks the boys need grooming too, I'll try to fit that in sometime, soon.

The Swap

I got hot dogs yesterday. I don't know where he found my glove (it's been missing for a week), but I'm being offered a swap....

Schmoozing

Sorry about the Red Eye, but here's Red trying to schmooze "Aunt Linda" out of some extra cookies. That's not really true, he does adore her and will actually go on his back for her at times. Something he does not allow for just any old person.

We had sunlight today, and no rain. I wasn't able to get down to the beach, but we did do a cliff walk.

January 4, 2009

Today was the day my beloved Paden was born. I was the first person to hold him, and the last. A sweet, beautiful dog, I still miss him.

Today's shot is not very good, but then, we all have good photo days and bad photo days. They were trying to concentrate the treat out of my neighbor's hand.

January 3, 2009 Between Storms

Today was a wonderfully beautiful day. I had time before opening the shop (Shorebirds), to get the boys down on the beach. It's been a couple of weeks, due to the holidays, and getting the nasty cold that was hanging around. They've been very patient. But look at the joy in their faces.

January 2, 2009

Today was a busy day, but I managed to get some shots. Parker's shot was not that good, he was wagging so hard that his nose blurred. Red found where I'd stashed the treats and was giving me the War Orphan treatment, or, as his breeder put it, the Starving Spaniel Look.

Welcome to English Cocker Photo A Day

There are only six English Cocker Spaniels in Lincoln County and I have 1/3 of them, or two. Red and Parker come from superb lineage, but are just great all around dogs. My New Year's Resolution is to photography them every day. Red is retired and will soon be 11 years old. Parker is only five and will probably never see the inside of an obedience or agility ring. Nevertheless, he's a grand dog with the most superb and sweetest temperament you could wish for.

January 1st was a bear of a day with gale force winds and sheets of rain all day. I promptly broke my resolution and did not take pictures, but made up for that today and yesterday.
